About Patino
A Costa Rican songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who has found a new home and creative haven in Oxford, UK. With a knack for mixing Latin roots and pop sounds, Patiño’s music is a vibrant fusion of tradition and modernity. At the heart of Patiño’s song-craft lies a deep admiration for his Latin American heritage, writing songs that traverse the tropical realms of bolero, cha cha chá, cumbia, and reggaeton. Currently signed as a songwriter with Sony Music Publishing (Mexico) and Anónimos Publishing, and distributed through Mexican indie label Lov/Recs and The Orchard.
“Londres” is the name of Patiño’s most recent EP, released in September 2023. A collaboration with British musician Jim Lawton (Electric Enemy) that resulted in a harmonious collection of tracks that continue to push the boundaries of Patiño’s latin pop fusion. The release has been supported with shows at venues such as London’s Servant Jazz Quarters and Oxford’s Tap Social Taproom, as well as festival performances in the UK, Sweden (Future Echoes) and Lithuania (Akaciju Aleja).
